Saad Qureshi got married a few years ago, and the bride and groom were dressed to impress on all of their wedding functions. The bride, Misha Chaudhary, wore Fahad Hussayn’s couture bridal dress, and it looked absolutely majestic! Misha followed the two-dupatta trend, as she can be seen wearing one on her shoulder and looped back on her other arm, and the other on her head. The delicate zari work all over the ensemble is meticulously placed, gently giving it a lift without being overpowering. Misha’s choice of jewelry is to be commended. It had green beads in place of what is usually white pearls or beads. The green contrasted with the red, making her look extra impressive. Her matching potli pouch was a great final touch.
↓ 18 – Sajal Ali’s Nikah Sharara
Sajal Ali stunned the world in her glam red dress and magnificent ethnic jewelry. The fancy work on the bottom of her sharara looked amazingly regal. Every ensemble she opted for during her wedding festivities was beautiful in its simplicity, but this red one obviously won the competition. Her bridesmaids wore white, which allowed Sajal to shine brighter in her outfit. Her makeup was all-natural with soft blush undertones. We stan the style queen!
↓ 17 – Iqra Aziz in Nomi Ansari
Iqra Aziz’s extraordinary Nomi Ansari bridal lehenga drew a lot of criticism and praise in equal measure. Many people compared her dress to that of Priyanka Chopra’s Sabyasachi bridal lehenga. Admittedly, the two had a lot in common, but there were also many differences. We leave the nitpicking to the negative-minded and focus instead on how amazing the ensemble is. The norm for a Pakistani bridal dress is usually gold on red, so this red on red was refreshing to see.
↓ 16 – Eman Suleman in Zara Shahjahan
Eman Suleman is a rule-breaker and trend-setter. One of Pakistan’s top models, Eman decided to ditch the stereotypical heavy lehengas and opted for this stunning Zara Shahjahan dress on her rukhsati. She accessorized with minimal jewelry and makeup, and seriously, we’re all here for it. Eman proved that simplicity could work, even if you are the bride. ↓ 15 – Mira Sethi in Kamiar Rokni
Mira Sethi’s wedding festivities went on for a couple of days, and as is the norm, the bride’s outfits were the focus of much debate and appraisal. Out of the several looks the actress belted out, this one is our favorite. It’s red, that’s reason number one. It’s minimalist, that is reason number two. The third reason for our choice is that Mira used the fabric from her maternal grandmother’s outfit for her ensemble. Kamiar Rokni revamped the old into something exquisite that still retained its old charm.
↓ 14 – Aiman Khan’s Heavy Maroon and Gold Dress
While we do not deny the fact that Aiman Khan’s maroon and gold bridal lehenga was grand and lavish in appearance and must have caused a fortune, we’re slightly miffed by how overwhelming the embellishments are. You can hardly see the maroon, which is a real shame. We think the ensemble needed ‘more room to breathe’ if you will. It must have been incredibly heavy and difficult to manage, but brides are usually resilient when it comes to cumbersome outfits.
Aiman’s gorgeous makeup and hairstyle, and beautiful jewelry were definitely the most positive aspects of her look.

↓ 13 – Mahenur Haider’s Royal Blue and Maroon Ensemble
The film and TV actress made waves when her wedding pictures were released on the internet. Mahenur chose to wear royal blue and blood-red in combination, and the result was more breathtaking than expected. Her kurta and most of the lehenga were bare; only the hems and the whole of her dupatta were embellished, which not only made the outfit easier to carry, we imagine, but also gave inspiration to many brides-to-be. Of the dozen-plus bridal outfits you’ll see in this blog, Mahenur’s outfit is one of those which can be replicated with relative ease.
Another styling tip you can take from this look is how she’s draping her dupatta. It’s low enough as to better show her pretty necklaces, and it’s easier to take off, which is what Mahenur did later.
↓ 12 – Sadia Ghaffar’s Angelic Blue and Matte Gold Attire
Sadia Ghaffar mesmerized the world in this luxurious designer outfit. Her colors of choice were unusual but trendy at the same time. She wore her dupatta in V-shape to better accentuate its beauty. Her dress underneath was a one-piece gown in matte-gold that was decorated to the teeth but wasn’t as overpowering as Aiman Khan’s.
The dress had the fluff and flare of a ball gown, which is what you can expect from Pakistans brilliant fashion designer. Sadia’s makeup and jewelry were natural and radiant.

↓ 11 – Hina Altaf’s Covid Wedding Outfit
One of the many celebrities to tie the knots during covid were Hina Altaf and Agha Ali. Everyone loved her simple white outfit and minimal makeup look that she chose for her intimate function.

Not only are the sisters natural beauties, but they’ve also aced the ethnic-wear game, as evident by the looks both have pulled off at their weddings and other formal events over the years.
Naimal’s iconic gharara outfit from her nikah in 2019 broke the internet. She looked picture-perfect, and that wasn’t all. She was reportedly wearing her mother’s wedding dress, repurposed and made anew. Old is gold, and Naimal proved that in her simple yet gorgeous attire.
A few months later her sister, Fiza Khawar, wore a similar look on her nikah day. Fiza and Naimal both wore Faiza Saqlain, the undisputed power-house of Pakistani ethnic-wear, that day. The creamy white ghararas have become quite the sensation since then and many, if not all, female celebrities have been seen in similar outfits on their nikahs since then.
↓ 9 – Urwa Hocane’s Embellished Gharara
Urwa wore an Elan sharara on her nikah day. The shirt hugged her frame while the sharara was a bit loose and fluffed up, making it look adorable. Elan outdid itself with Urwa’s ensemble, and you can tell why the brand is sought after internationally. According to her sister, Urwa did her own hair and makeup for the day! She decided to keep the jewelry minimal, opting for a jhoomar, a choker (owing to the boat-neck of the shirt), a nose ring, and earrings.

One of Pakistan’s top models and actresses, Iman Ali got married to the grandson of Major Aziz Bhatti in a lavish ceremony attended by close friends and family. Iman’s champagne-colored gharara suit was the epitome of elegance, making her resemble Madam Noor Jehan. Iman switched between two dupattas during the night; a brilliant red and a heavy maroon one that had a teal-colored lining. She complimented her outfit with red and green accessories. ↓ 7 – Sara Khan in Nilofer Shahid
The whole world had its eyes on Sara Khan as she unexpectedly, and quite adorably, got married to Falak Shabir. Sara donned a Nilofer Shahid gharara on her barat, and (like Falak) we couldn’t take our eyes off her! The metallic sheen on the dupatta was mesmerizing.
This dress is titled ‘Maah-e-Falak’ by the designer and is available on the website.
The happiest brides make the prettiest brides and we’re certain this masterpiece of a dress added to Sara’s joy that auspicious day.
↓ 6 – Myra Khan’s Stunning Baby Pink Lehenga
When journalist Myra Khan got married to Ali Xeeshan, who could she choose for her bridal gown but her husband’s very own label? Myra wore the daintiest lehenga dress on her big day, a mix of creamy white and blush pink, which further enhanced her lovely countenance. The touch of teal on the outfit stood out, and the luxurious adornments on the dupatta and the gown were wonderful to behold. Myra wore pearl and kundan jewelry, a classic choice for brides, with an all-natural makeup look that had her glowing.
The outfit consisted of a slit-frock gown atop a heavily embellished lehenga. The top of the frock and the sleeves were bare.
↓ 5 – Sanam Jung’s Sparkling Coral Pink Bridal Gown
Pakistan’s sweetheart Sanam Jung became more beloved, if that’s even possible, after she got married to Qassam, an American pilot. The two were engaged for a few years before tying the knot. Sanam’s arresting smile had a competition that day because the actress wore a glittering pink bridal dress by Sana Safinaz. She looked no less than a princess with her hair done up in a high bun and regal jewelry adorning her face. The dress didn’t have the fluff and flare that is trendy nowadays, instead, it had a lean and body-hugging silhouette.
